                                           4-H and Open Class Cattle Show Announcement: 
Due to the recent Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) outbreaks in dairy cattle herds in Northwest Iowa, the Harrison County Fair is not allowing dairy cattle to be shown during the 4-H and Open Bucket Bottle/Feeder Cattle Show. This does not impact any non-dairy breeds of cattle. The safety of our fair exhibitors, spectators, and livestock are our highest priority and not allowing dairy cattle at the fair in 2024 minimizes the biosecurity risk. The Harrison County Fair Board and Extension Office continue to monitor the HPAI regulations released from the Iowa Department of Ag and Land Stewardship and the State Veterinary’s Office.
